Friday Video Fun: Some Happy Places

With the election looming at the beginning of this week, I needed some Happy Places to go to. Here are a few of the things that I used to make me smile when I wanted to punch everything.

The sassy cup stacking otter:

I’m not really sure I could love that otter more. LOVE THE SASSY OTTER!! (h/t  The Meta Picture)

The first video I ever was emailed:

I think it explains itself. Heeee

The last one was a reboot of Spongebob’s Best Day Ever. Tom Kenny rewrote it after the 2008 election. And sometimes I would just have to play it again to regian my hope:

Do you have a “Happy Place”? What do you watch on the web to make you smile?

I voted for Barack Obama in 2008!

I voted for Barack Obama today. Ok, I have to fess up that I actually filled in the square on my mail-in ballot nearly 2 weeks ago, but just turned it in today.

I can’t beleive the voter turnout in our sleepy little town. We usually get turnout around 500 (of ~1000 registered voters) and this year they are expecting more around 700. WOOO

I’m going to try a little liveblogging widget tonight. Courtesy of CoverItLive.com. I think its a great solution for the awkwardness of liveblogging. I hope some of you will come and check it out. I will be sharing links, venting on TV coverage, and just trying to keep myself sane through this long night.

If you haven’t yet voted….GO VOTE NOW!

Look for my liveblogging to start at about 7pm EST.

VP Debate: boy I’m glad that’s over

My reaction to last night’s VP debate is up at Smart Now, check it out.

No real big surprises. Though I will say I ended up really liking Joe Biden more than I did before. He is an engaging man. Palin gave me a headache in my eye.

If you’ve heard that both candidates made major mistakes last night, check out this article that points out that really Biden only made one major slipup about Hezbollah and Lebanon…he should have said Syria. Palin, on the other hand, misspoke many times.

My twitter stream from the debate will be up later this evening. I tried to play Palin bingo, but was too distracted. hee

One more little piece of debate fun. The Sarah Palin debate flow chart. So THAT’S how she got through all those tough questions ;-)
