Today started WordCamp weekend for me. I went to WordCamp in Chicago last year. It was fabulous, it was fun, and there was so much learning involved…but it was also right when my life fell apart…so I didn’t even get a chance to process what I’d learned before I had to set it aside. This year is different. I’m ready to take what I learn about WordPress this year and USE it.

Today was the Themes workshop. I really haven’t processed it all yet. I’m not really a themes designer, nor do I really want to design themes on any sort of scale. Regardless of that, this was still a fascinatingly educational day for me. It amazes me how much WordPress itself puts in functionality to make sure that even at the developer level you don’t have to reinvent the wheel at every turn.

I’m approaching overtired and overloaded, but WOW what a great day…and tomorrow should be even better. Awesome!
